About Nico Meyer

Building figoca to make card buying, grading, and comp research easier for collectors

I built figoca after running into the same problems many collectors face: grading uncertainty, slow comp checks, and too much tab switching between tools.

Why figoca exists

Built from real collector frustration

Nico started figoca after struggling to decide which cards were really worth grading before spending money on submissions.

He also kept bouncing between eBay and 130point to check real market value, so he built an extension that surfaces comps directly while browsing eBay.

For shows and travel, he wanted the same speed on mobile, which led to faster comps workflows and a stronger focus on practical collector tools.

The next push is portfolios, so collectors can track what they own and make better decisions over time.

Mission

Build tools that help collectors make better decisions, waste less money on avoidable mistakes, and grow the hobby internationally, especially across Europe and Germany.

Personal side

Outside of building figoca, Nico is a big Kansas City Chiefs fan (❤️💛), follows the Kansas City Royals (💙), and enjoys Formula 1 and Golf.

What shapes his writing

Built figoca to solve real collecting pain points he ran into himself.
Focused on practical tools for pre-grading, comps, and on-the-go pricing.
Combines hobby knowledge with a hands-on TypeScript and AWS product background.
Writing is shaped by a European and German collector perspective, not only a US-only view.
